Crowns

Same day

A crown is a cap that covers a tooth that is cracked, badly worn, heavily filled, or weakened by decay. It restores the tooth’s shape, strength, and appearance so you can chew normally again.

Traditional crowns take two visits and a temporary in between. We design and make your crown in our office, so you can have the whole treatment done in a single appointment. That means one round of numbing, no temporary to lose or break, and no waiting for a lab.

Is this right for you?

  • You have a cracked, broken, or worn tooth.
  • A large filling is failing or the tooth is too weak to hold another one.
  • You had a root canal and the tooth needs protection.

What to expect

  1. 1. Exam and preparation

We numb the area, remove any decay, and shape the tooth so the crown fits well.

  2. 2. Digital scan

Instead of messy impression material, we take a digital scan of your tooth and bite.

  3. 3. Design and creation

Your crown is designed and made while you are here, and matched to the shade of your natural teeth.

  4. 4. Fitting and bonding

We check the fit and bite, make any adjustments, and bond the crown in place.

Common questions

Will it look natural?
Yes. We choose a shade and material that blend in with your neighboring teeth.
How do I care for a crown?
Brush and floss as you normally would, and keep up with your regular cleanings. The tooth underneath still needs care.
Is a same-day crown as strong as a traditional one?
Modern materials are durable, and we will recommend the right one for the tooth being treated. Ask us at your visit and we will explain the options.
